Mohammad Mohsin Odia Actor

Mohammad Mohsin popularly known as Mohsin was an Odia actor, producer, and director. In his 30 years of career, he has acted and directed many successful commercial films. His first Bollywood movie was Naiyya, which was distributed and produced by Rajshri Production where he played the character of a boat maker Karim. He was born on 14th September 1942 in Cuttack and had completed his schooling at Sayeed Seminary High School and his Bachelor in Arts from Ravenshaw College. He had a great passion for arts and drama and later was elected as the secretary of the Dramatic Society in his college.

He continued his passion by acting in Annapurna Theatre in Cuttack. He was married to Kausra Khatun since April 14th 1954 and had 3 children. After acting in a few Bollywood movies he stepped into the Odia industry and was marked in the field of acting, directing, and production. He had acted in more than fourteen movies and directed more than sixteen movies. He gained his popularity after the movie Phula Chandana after which he was awarded the Odisha State Film Award for Best Director. Some of his other notable movies are Hisab Nikas(played as Bagha), Maa-o-Mamta(played as Raka), Laxman Rekha, Santana, Sahari Bagha, Danda Baluga. He died on 3rd January 2003 in cuttack .He was a hit producer till his death.
