Born on April 14, 1996, in Jhapa, she was passionate about music from early childhood. She participated in various inter-school and intra-school music competitions. A BSC Nursing graduate, Asmita retained her passion for music along with education. Nepal Idol Season 2 has been a boost for her musical career. Judged by the renowned musicians' Kali Prasad Baskota, Nwu Bajracharya, and Indira Joshi, the show helped her to upgrade her talent as a musician. From the day of auditions to the final stage, she won hearts with her melodious vocals.

She gained attention with her iconic performances and thus formed a solid base for her future musical endeavors. Asmita started her music career with the female version of the song 'TimroMayaleBandhera Rakha.' The song was a massive hit and made her establish a successful career in music. She also worked with Kali Prasad on the 'Sali Man Paryo' song for the movie 'Ghamand Shere.' The song was one of the most popular Nepali songs of all time.
