Khagendra Lamichhane is a celebrated Nepalese director, writer, and actor. He was born on July 23, 1988, in Syangja village. He gained interest in drama when his friends participated in the Western District Drama contest. He shifted to Kathmandu to kickstart his career. There, he got into Naachghar and started writing plays. He wrote and performed in his first feature film, Talakjung vs Tulke, where he played the role of Tulke. He set his foot in the acting field in 1999. He starred in Highway that got screened at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival. Other screenplays he has written include Pashupati Prasad, Dhanapati, and Damaru ko Dandibiyo.
He has also written two collections of plays, namely, Paani Photo and Katha Natak. A collection of short stories, Fulani is published by him. His stage plays like Peeda-Geet, Hajurbuwako Katha, Daant ko Dob, Paani Photo, and Atalbahadur ko Aatanka have been screened in various national and international theatre festivals. He has also worked with BBC Media Action as a producer, writer, editor, and actor for the international drama Katha Mitho Sarangiko. He also worked as an editor for its reconstruction drama, Kathamaala. He has worked with the British Council, where he has the post of Drama Production Consultant. He is also a chairperson of Tukee Arts Pvt. Ltd.
