Dinesh D.C. also known as Dinesh Raj Dahal is a famous actor, film director, producer, radio program producer, and television program producer. He mostly works in the Nepali film industry. He was born on November 17 in Ilam and completed his MBA degree from Saraswati Campus.  He debuted as a supporting actor in the 1997 film Sun Chandi and acted in different films like Shankar (1997), Ek Number Ko Pakhe (1999) and Muna Madan (2003).Â
Dinesh D.C. has acted in various television serials like Kasto Lagyo, Yastai Huncha, Bihe Ko Kura, Doshi Ko?, Mamata, Kathai, Biman Chalak, Bhumika and many more. He has worked as a radio program producer for Kantipur FM 96.1 and was a freelance program producer for TV networks like NTV, Image Network, and Shangrilla Channel. He has also directed many documentaries over the years like Mukti Bal Ashram, An Introduction for Hotel Management College, RNAC: An Introduction, and Enchanting Pokhara. Â
Dinesh D.C. debuted as a director in the 2006 film Savdhaan and went on to direct many films in the coming years.  Apart from acting and directing, he has also anchored and presented for various national and international entertainment programs and award shows. He is also a producer and has produced the 2016 film Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai.Â
He has won numerous awards over the years such as The Best Villain Award from Geetanjali Cine Awards, Most Popular Personality Award, Best Announcer of the Decade in Stage, and many more. In 2012, his third directorial venture Maya Bar got him the National Film Award for the category Best Director and the D-Cine Award for Critics Choice. He was awarded the Prabal Janasewa Shree Award by the President of Nepal in 2019.  On the personal front, Dinesh D.C. is married to Ranu Shreshta and has two daughters.Â
