Malvika Subba is a popular Nepali actress. Media personality, beauty queen, television host, social activist and entrepreneur. She was born on 19th July 1981 in Dharan, Nepal. She did her graduation from Pokhara University with and Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism. She is married to Riyaz Shrestha. She was crowned Miss Nepal 2002 at the age of 21. She started her journey by working for Call Kantipur as a TV host on Kantipur Television. In 2008, she was an Ambassador for Human Trafficking for Voice of India MTV EXIT. She has experience working with Youth Spokes Person for Action Aid’s Hunger – Free Campaign as HIV/AIDS Youth Leader at UNICEF.
She worked with Shangrila Housing as a sales and marketing manager from 2009 – 2011. She acted in movies and dramas like God Lives in The Himalayas, Good Bye Kathmandu, and Hamri Shiwani in 2008. She has worked as the chief editor for the leading fashion and lifestyle magazine, Nayyaata. She set up her retail clothing store with the collaboration of various in–house designers. She is also the co–founder of House of Alternative Apparel, also called HAA, and also of the Himalayan Climate Initiative (HCI). She is also the creative director of these two. Since 2015, she has been hosting and is the head judge of Mega Model, which has entered its third successful season. She works in Hamri Baini Project, which works for uneducated women and aims to remove unemployment. She is one of the multi-talented women in Nepal.
