He was born on 16 February in Thouda Bhabok Leikai, Imphal, Manipur. His father's name is Hamom Muhindro, and his mother is Hamom Ongbi Indubala. Hamom started working as a child actor in 1993 with his debut Manipuri film Sambal Wangma. His first Meitei language film has directed by K Ibohal Sharma, in which he worked with Khun Joykumar, Parvati and Star Kamei in the lead roles. Later, Hamom Sadananda started his career as a singer and later followed the acting field in the Manipuri film industry. His first film in a lead role is Igengi Atiya - The Sky of Autumn, directed by Khwairakpam Bishwamittra and released in 2002.

The film has directed by Biswamittra, and Hamom appeared in the role of Tompok. Hamom Sadananda was born on 16th February in Imphal in Manipur. He started his career as a singer and later on successfully entered into the Meitei film industry as an actor. He made his first appearance in the movie “Ingengi Atiya” which was locally known as “The sky of the autumn”. Over years he has made over 100 successful movies amongst which some became very popular among the viewers.

Some of these famous movies include Khuji, Ingengi Atiya, Chumthang Makhong, Meerang Mahum, Imagi Laman Singamdre, Thoiba Thoibi, Mami Sami and Manithoiba. Apart from acting, he is also involved in music video production and produced a music video namely Engao Ngaojabi which starred Eshita Yengkhom and Bonium Thokchom. Hamom received several awards in his life time.

At the 7th state film festival in 2010, he was awarded with the best playback singer male for the song Houda Houjillu from the movie Nobap. He also received the best playback singer award in the male category from SSS Manifa awards in the Year 2014 for the song from film Tabunungda Akaiba Likli. From the SSS Manifa 2016 awards he was awarded with the best for the drama Hingbagee Mahao. By the authority of disabled Development Association of Manipur, he received the title of “Brother of the disabled.”

He started his acting career in the year 2007 with the first movie Yenning Amadi Likla. This was a Manipur-based movie directed by Mankhonmani Mongsaba. This drama was selected as the feature film of the international film festival of India conducted by Indian panorama in the year 2007. It was one of the most prominent films which was chosen for the year. In 2008 he worked in the movie Mami Sami where Hamom played the role of Wangthoi. In 2009, for the screenplay Kaboklei.

This movie received several awards which include the best actor for female best makeup and best costume designer from 7th Manipur award in 2010. In 2010 the play Thoicha a dark fantasy movie was directed by Ningthoujam Prem which starred Hamom. In 2015, the movie Hingbagee Mahao was directed by Jeetendra Ningomba which is a Manipuri film. The cinema released at open air theater of Bheigyachandra at Imphal. This movie received several awards from 5th SSS Manifa 2015 which included best feature film, the best director, the best actor in the leading role, the best story, the best cinematography, and the best music director.
