Todd Swift was born on April 8, 1966, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and raised in Saint-Lambert, Quebec. He did BA English from Concordia University (Montreal) and M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of East Anglia, and later, he became British in 2013. He is a British-Canadian poet, an editor, a university teacher, critic cum publisher based in the UK. Todd worked for HBO, Paramount, Hanna-Barbera, Fox, Cinar, and DIC Entertainment. He worked in the Sailor Moon as the story editor. He also worked for General Media as a writer and editor. Swift authored nine poetry collections and his poems were translated and published in journals, including Poetry, The Globe and Mail, Poetry London, and The Guardian.
