In 1977, Kunal Singh Yadav made his way to Mumbai to become an Actor. His debutant Hindi movie Kal Hammara Hai, released in 1980, was a big hit. Later he was offered many movies from the Bhojpuri Film Industry. Dharti Mayaa(1981) was his first major hit Bhojpuri movie. His biggest hit was Ganga Kinare Mora Gaon, released in 1983. In a career span of 40 years, he has completed 300 films.

One of his movies, Gangotri was a Blockbuster and successfully ran in the theatre for one year and four months in one of the Varanasi Theatre.
