Ghalti (translated to ‘Fault/Mistake’) is a Pakistani romantic drama that Aired on the A-Plus TV channel from 14 July 2016 to 7 October 2016. This show is Directed by Kaleem Rajput and Written by Iftikhar Ahmed Usmani. The story revolves around two sisters who are unaware that they are related. Zara lives with her parents, and Sanam lives with her aunt. As life goes on, their cousin Saim enters their lives. Saim’s family wants him to marry Zara, but Saim intends to marry the other sister, Sanam. The elders are the only people aware of Zara and Sanam’s blood relation. After Zara’s Father’s death, Saim takes her in, where she lives with Saim’s mother.

The story takes a turn when Saim’s Father announces his engagement to Zara, without their permission. This is a shock to Saim and Sanam, who are in love together. However, Saim is an obedient and honest son so he accepts this proposal. When Saim later discusses this with his father and tells him that he intends to marry Sanam, his father arranges for his and Zara’s wedding the next day.

The following day, taking drastic steps, Saim and Zara get married at the courthouse, but Saim doesn’t inform his family about the marriage and, thus, he marries Zara in the evening. This results in Saim being married to both the sisters, Zara and Sanam. This drama is a social commentary; it targets the older audience and portrays how elders and peers try to fix their children’s “problems” by marrying them off to someone without their consent. It aims to educate parents and older peers that marriage is not a solution,  and sometimes, it can lead to more significant problems. Each episode has a runtime of 40 minutes.
