Majili is a Telugu language TV serial that airs on the channel ETV Plus from Monday to Friday at 8 pm for half an hour. It started on 9 March 2020. It is produced by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Devineni Prasad and directed by V. Sharath Babu. The main character, Omika, is played by Shambhavi Gurumoorthy, a Tamil actress. Majili is the story of Omika, who had to become a mother to her sisters due to hardships life threw at her. The serial opens with Omika receiving the businesswoman of the year award and giving a speech. Omika and her three sisters grew up with her mother after her father left them.

In an unfortunate accident, they lose their mother, who takes a dying word from Omika to take good care of her sisters. She lives up to that promise, works very hard, and becomes a successful businesswoman. Since business is what allowed her to provide well for her and her family, her first younger sister, Amrutha, took up MBA, and Omika’s dream for her sister is for her to surpass Omika in the industry. Her childhood dream was to become a badminton champion, play in the Olympics, and bring honour to her country. She had received many medals at the district level when her mother was still alive. But for obvious reasons, she had to give that up. Her second sister, Meghana, decided to make her sister’s dream come true and took up badminton.

She worked hard and reached the national level championship. All her problems stemmed from her father’s atrocities towards her mother. She now dreamed of a world where no woman has to put up with a man’s temper and should always have someone defend them. With that in mind, she pushed her youngest sister, Aadhya, to become a police officer. The sisters lived together in a modern house with a huge backyard. The funny aspect of this inspirational drama is provided by their housemaid, Sundari, who can’t help herself from spilling all the younger sisters’ secrets to Omika. The sisters, however, keep blackmailing Sundari, saying that they would reveal that she has broken Omika’s favourite trophy. With an immaculate mixture of comedy, drama, and inspiration, the show has won many hearts.
