Mal Pipena Kaale is a Sinhala drama that aired on TV Derana in 2021.

Sagara is a non-resident Sri Lankan who lives in England. He wishes to get a house in Sri Lanka and asks his friend, Siriwardana, to search for a suitable house. Siriwardana gives the responsibility to his son, Nalinda. Nalinda calls Sagara to inquire about his requirements. But, Nilnethu, Sagara’s daughter, attends the call. Soon, Nalinda and Nilnethu became friends, and they started meeting daily over the phone. Soon, Nilnethu visits Sri Lanka with her father. She meets Nalinda. Nalinda is ready to commit to a relationship. But, Nilnethu is not ready to enter into a relationship without deeply knowing about each other. In a turn of events, Nalinda behaves aggressively towards Nilnethu. Bunty, one of Nalinda’s friends, helps Nilnethu. Soon, Nilnethu is informed about her sister. Why did her father leave Sri Lanka? Where are her mother and sister? The rest of the story follows this.
