Sugathakumari was a poet born on 22nd January 1934 to Bodheswaran, aka Keshava Pillai, a freedom fighter and Karthiyayini Amma. Her mother is a Sanskrit scholar. Sugathakumari was born and brought up in Aranmula. Sugathakumari has two siblings, an elder sister, Hridayakumari and a younger sister, Sujatha Devi. Sugatha finished her graduation from University College in Trivandrum. She did her PG degree in Philosophy and researched the Comparative Study of the Concept of Moksha in Indian Schools of Philosophy. However, she couldn’t complete her thesis. Sohanlal is a South Indian writer and director, works in Kerala. He is the son of Kamala Das and P K Das, who are school teachers. He has four older sisters. He completed his schooling at the SMV High School in Thiruvananthapuram. Later, he finished his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature degree from the University of Kerala.
