Kattassery Joseph Yesudas shortly called as K J Yesudas is an exceptional Carnatic singer and playback singer in Indian Cinema. Born on Jan 10 in 1940, he is fondly called as Gana Gandharvan and Dasettan. He has set a record of recording more than 60,000 songs. He is born in a Roman Catholic family, in Kochi. His father was a great classical Malayalam musician. His first song was Jaathi Bhedam Matha Dwesham (music: M B Sreenivasan) recorded on 14 November 1961.
