1. Manju Pillai

Manju Pillai famous for her comic role in Malayalam TV serials and films is the grand daughter of yesteryear actor S.P Pillai. She is famous for her role in 'Life is Beautiful' and the TV series 'Chila Kudumba Chitrangal'.

Manju used to act in Drama competitions during her school days. She acted in 'Sthree Parvam' directed by famous play writer Soorya Krishnamurthy while she was in 10th standard. By seeing little Manju's performance on Drama's her teachers used to congratulate her and always used to bless her on her skills. As she was the granddaughter of S.P Pillai, she used to get many 'big fans' on her performance while on-stage

 

Manju, who never thought to get into the cine field, planned to do her graduation in Law. But with the pressure of family friends and relatives, she finally decided to do some roles on TV shows. Apart from serial acting, Manju was also seen as the judge in various reality shows that aired on TV. 

 

Manju debuted in the serial 'Sathyavum Mithyayum'. She got few other projects as well in TV with some famous directors in cine industry. Her role in TV soaps 'Chila Kudumba Chitrangal' and 'Life Is Beautiful' got well accepted. Her most appreciated role in teleserial was with film actor Jagadeesh in 'Life Is Beautiful'. Her role was a quirky-wit house wife who always love and do quarrel with husband. The presentation with comic touch made the serial one of the family favorite of all time.

 

'Thatteem Mutteem' was another big success serial that Manju acted along with KPAC Lalitha. They essayed mother-in-law/daughter-in-law characters with names Mayavatiamma and Mohanavalli. Most the episode went high ranking on TRP rating with the comic duo presence of these two leading actresses. 

 

Manju also acted in few critically acclaimed movies like 'Mazhayethum Munpe', 'Irattakuttikalude Achan', 'Ramanan' and with veteran director Adoor Gopalakrishnan 'Naalu Pennungal'. Manju bagged state television award twice in the year 2001 and 2003 for serial 'Devaranjini' and 'Sundaranmarum Sundarikalum' .

Malayalam comedy star Pakru, has the prefix Guinness to his name. Ever wondered the reason? He owns the record of a leading role enacted by a shorted actor in a full-fledged film. Born on 31st August 11976, being 2 feet 6 inch tall, Pakru worked as the male lead in the 2005 flick Albhuthadeep. He was adjudged the Special Jury Awards given by Kerala State Film association. His record was recorded in the year 2008 in Guinness Book of World Records. Albhuthadeep is a flick which has various specialties. It has 300 dwarfs, which is distinctive. The plot of the story is about dwarf men and normal ladies in an island. Prithviraj also acted with Pakru in this movie. This movie was a great success in the box office. 

 

The 2010 flick My Big Father had Pakru donning the role of father of Jayaram. He also enacted ther ole of a mentally disturbed person in this film. The audience were moved his performance in this film and Pakru proved that he can handle comic and serious roles with equal panache.Pakru has shared screenspace with most of the top notch actors of Mollywood. 

 

Earlier Guiness Pakru was known as Unda Pakru or just Pakru. However, his original name is Ajay Kumar. He has a diploma in computer science to his credit. But he chose a different path. He was good in mimicry. Along with this passion, his size made him to work in stage shows. Pakru also tested waters in mimicry and worked in mimicry groups before entering into films. When he was 18 he had worked on 1000 mimicry performances. The 1984 flick Ambili Ammavan was the first film of Pakru. Now he also works in television serials. The 2013 flick Kutteem Kolum is the directorial venture of Pakru. He also donned the protagonist role in this flick. Pakru fetched the Tamil Nadu Award for his flick Dishyum during the year 2006. Pakru has worked in around 40 films. 

 

On his personal front, Pakru is married to Gayathri Mohan and is blessed with a daughter. He hails from Kundara, Kollam

Malayalam actor Ajay Kumar is perhaps world’s smallest actor. This comedy star is just 2 feet 6 inches tall and due to his height and experience as an actor, he made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. Before making his debut in films, he had an experience as a mimicry artist in many stage plays and even in competition. His mother encouraged him to participate in competitions so that his participation certificates could get Ajay Kumar a government job.But luck had something else to do with his success. He was well versed in techniques of mimicry, recitation contests, fancy dress competitions, etc. and this talent fetched him applause in any competition he took part. Even in college, he took a keen interest in associating himself with politics, culture or any other form of arts as part of extra-curricular activities. Ajay was a gifted mimicry artist and even taken part in stage shows in Kerala. It is said that film director Vinayan discovered this actor while he was making a film ‘Atbhuta Dweep.' The actor was assigned the role of a warrior prince of a Lilliputian kingdom.

After the release of this film, he became a household name in Kerala. It is said that the actor did all his fight–based scenes and did not need any double to perform the art. After the release of this film ‘Atbhutta Dweep’, the actor made his entry into the 'Guinness Book of Records' as he played a full-length character in a film. Ajay Kumar ( known as 'Pakru') was seen as the dwarf prince Gajendra in the movie. The film was a huge success. He made his debut in big screen with a film ‘Ambili Ammavan’ that released in 1984.
