Plot

Nirmal is a Punjabi who lives in Vancouver, Canada. He is an immigrant from India. He was forced to leave India after the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Life in Canada is not easy, and he has to face racism, bullying, etc. Amidst this, he seeks solace in music. His friend Daljeet, aka DJ’s sister Harleen, runs a garage and supports them. However, due to financial issues, his life entangles with the crime lord, Sarabjeet Randhava. What happens next? Will Nirmal escape? The rest of the series follows his life.

Star Performance

Parmish Verma fits well in the role, and performed decently. His transformation from an innocent immigrant to a gangster is quite impressive. Aadar Malik is good in his role as DJ. Jasmin Bajwa is impressive as Harleen. Arunoday’s performance as a menacing villain is good. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Ranvir Shorey did their roles with perfection.

Analysis

The series’ biggest plus is the narration. Despite some flaws in a few characters, including Arunoday’s Sarabjeet, the series manages to attract attention only because of the excellent performances and the way of storytelling. The music is impressive and gels well with the screenplay. The visuals are so cool! Thanks to Rajeev Ravi for giving us a visual treat with the scenic locales of Vancouver.
