Barun Rai And The House On The Cliff is an Indian Hindi-language thriller drama web-series that premiered on Eros Now. The show features a newly wed-couple, Soumili and Harmesh Banerjee, as they move out into their dream home. They were sure that their life would be perfect together but things take turn when their love is being tested by unexplained incidents. Entertaining a new journey in their life, the two lovers were highly positive about their married life. But little did they know that abnormal activities in their new home would have a huge impact on their lives. The protagonist of the show Barun Rai, comes into the picture as his expertise is in dealing with paranormal activities. Will Barun Rai be able to solve the mystery behind this house? All of these talented actors have done a commendable job in bringing out the certain layers to their characters. Not only did they make their roles believable, but also brought out a lot of emotions from the audience as well delve into their lives. The first episode shows that amidst cliff suicides, the great psychic officer Barun Rai comes to the scene. He meets the Newlyweds Soumili and Harman when they have just moved into a new hill house. The show’s theme becomes darker as unknown forces creep into Soumili's home. From this point onwards, the Police and Barun start investigating. In the second episode, they figure out Father Paul has a strange relation to these mishappenings. In later episodes, Barun asks Soumili to find the riddle of the evil book and the strange force. But on the other hand, the sinister entity has other plans for Harmesh.

Things take a dark turn when Soumili's world is shattered after a tragic incident. With each episode, strange activities in the house get stronger which overthrows Soumili and Barun. On one hand, Barun tries his best to dig deep into the history of the house. On the other hand, Father Paul is asked to deals with ghosts of the past and prepare to battle the demons. The demonic forces have taken over the life of the newly wed couple. They become more and more helpless with each upcoming incident, and have no idea what to do. Their love and compatibility is put to test with these disastrous incidents. But things take a positive turn when Barun asks father Paul to team up and in order to resist the demonic possessions and save the innocent couple. Will innocent Soumili be lost forever because of these demonic forces? Or will the newly formed team be able to save them? The rest of the story deals with that.
