Get ready to travel and explore cuisines from various parts of the world with Chef Ranveer Brar. Living Foodz channel brings yet another exciting culinary show, Global Menu, from November 7th, 2016, every Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30 P.M. for all food lovers out there. The show will feature Chef Ranveer who visits places like Ethiopia, Burma, New Zealand, Middle East, Korea, South Africa and Mongolia to introduce the cuisines served by them.
The show will try to bring out the cooking secrets’ while focusing on those places and cuisines which have not been explored much till date. Apart from delicious food, the show throws light on how different cuisines borrow spices, ingredients, and recipes from various countries. For example, Burmese Cuisine is dependent a lot on Myanmar for its food products. They like to use a lot of fish products and fermented seafood in their dishes. Burmese cuisine is influenced by Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisines.
Whereas, if we talk about New Zealand, they are inspired by British-based cuisine and consider dinner as the main meal of the day. On the other hand, Middle Eastern cuisine is quite diverse and borrows cooking secrets from Arab, Iranian, Turkish, Greek and Jewish cuisines. The commonly used ingredients include: honey, sesame seeds, olive, olive oil, chickpeas, mint, etc. The food which the Middle Eastern people relish is full of flavors, spices, and aromas.
The show will encourage the Indian population to venture beyond the regular international cuisines served in India like Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and Thai and try out other cuisines, which are not very popular. Through this show, Chef Ranveer tries to dish out International delicacies to the Indian dining table. The audiences can learn about the various ingredients used to cook this kind of food. Also, Chef Ranveer tries his best to bring out the recipes for the viewers so that they can try them at home.
He believes that this show will change the perception of international food for the conservative people and will motivate them to travel to these places to explore their food and culture. The program will be featuring Chef Ranveer preparing some delicious food items like Argentine Black Beans a la Olla, Berry Pilaf from Iran, Sri Lankan Koki, Anzac cookies from New Zealand, Hungarian Goulash, Garlic Quinoa from Peru, and Samusa Thouk from Burma. He will make them super easy for audiences to understand the ingredients and recipes.
