Hindi Tv Serial STAR Geetmala

This serial was aired on Star Plus. It televised the videos of all the latest songs in Hindi film. It was a Bollywood songs television program. The running time of the show was 30 minutes. The show was released on January 01, 1900.

DD National also broadcasted such programme. The name of the serial is Chitrahaar. It was first aired on 1960. It telecasted different types of songs like classic songs and the modern songs. DD National also started another same generic show. The name of the show is Rangoli. The Chitrahaar was the longest running Television serial which was broadcasted from 1960. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad also technically supported the DD National to broadcast the show widely. 

The word “Geetmala” was deeply connected with the Radio show Geetmala.  The first name of the programme was Binaca Geetmala. The show was sponsored by Binaca Toothpaste. Later, the name changed to Cibaca Geetmala. Finally it was called Colgate Cibaca Geetmala. The show was first broadcasted on Commercial Hindi Service of Radio Ceylon in 1952. But later it was shifted to All India Radio’s Vividh Bharati in 1989. This show was the first programme on Hindi films songs. It was a very popular show among the Hindi songs lover.
