Shaitaan a criminal mind was a popular television crime series on Colors TV. The show was produced by Midtech Production. It was aimed at bringing to the public fore the real life crime stories where the criminals had acted in-human and rather more like the Shaitaan, the Devil. It was started with a brilliant aim of decoding the minds of such inhumane criminals and capturing the inside and real scale of events that lead to the unfortunate acts of crime.

The makers of the show had conducted thorough research of all the cases dealt with on the show. The cases were also dramatized with a clear sense of perfection making sure to not take aways from the subject or its authenticity. It made an attempt to empathize and understand the psychology of people who committed such crimes. These criminals are normal people to the eyes of the commoners but with a twisted mind. In the minds of these criminals they feel they have done nothing wrong even if they have killed over hundreds for their pleasure or eating parts of the human body. The show put forth very objectively the story of both the culprit and the victim, leaving it to the audiences discretion to decide who was right or wrong.

The show was hosted by the sauve , who had to undergo a lot of competition from fellow anchors such as , etc. He acts as the anchor and the analyst and his narration proved to connect very well with the viewers. The show had a great start but had to be closed post a brief stint as the content was found to be improper for television viewing.

The show premiered on 1st December, 2012 and was telecasted on Saturdays and Sundays at 10.30 pm. The last episode was telecasted on 7th July, 2013
