Saanjhi is a Hindi serial broadcast on the ZEE TV channel. Badri Narayan took money as a loan from Mr. Amar Singh Rathore. Upon failing to return the money, Badri ran away. Amar has now located Badri after two years. Badri explains that he lost all the money in business. The only thing he has now is this home. Amar threatens to take his home away from Badri. Badri gives the papers of his house to Amar. Badri has a son and a daughter named Hansa. Amar and his wife have no child, even after fifteen years of marriage. Amar has a religious guru whom he consults for every problem. But the guru had predicted that Amar would be the father of two sons. Amar’s brother, Somesh, keeps the prospect of remarriage in front of his brother. Amar’s brother keeps the idea of a marriage with Hansa, Badri's daughter in return for money and his home. Badri refuses to sell his daughter. But Hansa agrees to marry Amar to free her family from the debt. Badri’s sister considers this deal and agrees to marry Hansa to a man twice her age. Amar gives ten lakh and papers back to Badri’s sister. Amar gives Hansa the opportunity to refuse the marriage, but Hansa says she would only marry him. Amar has not yet told his wife about his second marriage. Amar introduces Kanak, his first wife and, Hansa, his second wife. Hansa is also unknown to the fact that Amar is already married. Kanak will remain Amar’s wife. Hansa’s friend Lalit advises her to run away from Amar’s house. Kanak keeps insulting Hansa. Kanak gives Lalit money to run away with Hansa. But Amar catches them. Hansa apologizes to him. Amar starts spending quality time with Hansa. Kanak starts looking for Amar as she thinks she got rid of Hansa. Hansa gets attacked by someone. Meanwhile, Hansa keeps waiting for Amar the whole night, but Amar didn't come. Kanak gets angry when Amar gifts her jewelry to Hansa. Hansa falls in love with Amar. Hansa makes food for Amar but the servants in Amar’s house refuse to accept her as their new mistress. Kanak tries to kill Hansa using a knife and poison. But Amar makes Hansa apologizes to Kanak, as Kanak tries to commit suicide. So Amar decides to keep Kanak and Hansa in separate houses.
