“Mera Desh Bulaye Re” is a drama serial that focuses on the life and story of a simple boy named Karan. Karan is portrayed as a young man who is born and brought up in a village. He is hard-working and very determined to achieve success. He goes to the US for his further studies in agriculture. However, while living abroad he falls in love with a woman named Mansi who is portrayed as a bubbly soul who is an NRI. When Karan finishes his studies, he decides to return home, back in India. He brings Mansi along with him who is more than eager to be by his side. Upon reaching India, the plight of the commoners/farmers deeply affects both of them and Karan decides to fulfill his father’s dreams and help the farmers in every way he can.
Karan starts to educate the villagers about agriculture. The farmers bring forth their problems to him regarding their fields and crop production. Mansi stays and helps Karan solve these problems providing whatever help she could. However, both of them face another issue regarding another woman named Nirjala. Nirjala was Karan’s childhood best friend and had been waiting all this time for him to return. Is it only mere friendship or something else and whether Karan is successful in fulfilling his goal constitutes the rest of the serial?
