The show is a Hindu mythological series, and the theme of the show is based on the life story of Lord Krishna. It’s about the different stages of Lord Krishna’s life from a young little boy to Arjun’s advisor and also his saarthi or a charioteer in the battle of Mahabharata. Lord Krishna is the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu and is one of the major deities worshiped by Hindus. His story is famous from the Bhagwat Geeta to the Puranas, and mostly the epic and well known Mahabharata. Krishna appears in the broad spectrum of Hindu mythological texts but in this show, the entire life of Krishna is portrayed as in the Bhagvat Gita.
Right from the time of his birth, Krishna is portrayed as a young boy eating butter as in the Gita. His role varies from that of a young boy to that of Arjun’s advisor and saarthi while leading him to the battle of Mahabharata. Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudeva but was raised by Nanda and Yashodha in Gokul. He defeated all the demons sent by his uncle Kansa to kill him at a very young age. From a very young age, Krishna had shown signs of various miracles. Be it his mother Yashodha seeing the entire universe in his mouth to lifting the mount Govardhan on his little finger to provide shelter to the people of his village. Krishna fought several demons from a very young age. The show even depicts the Raas-Leela scenes which meant playing for enjoyment and fun with several gopis.
He would be playing his flute, and all the Gopis would be playfully dancing around him on the banks of the river Yamuna. Later on, when Lord Krishna grew up he met King Ugrasena; the king of Mathura and during this time he met the Pandavas and made friends with Arjun. Lord Krishna was not only a mighty king but also he was a great warrior. He acted as the messenger between the pandavas and the Kauravas in the battle of Kurukshetra. He also had a great impact on the battle of Mahabharata as he chose to be Arjun’s charioteer and his advisor throughout the battle which finally led to the win of Pandavas in the epic mythological battle. This entire show has depicted the lifelong journey right from his birth to that of Arjun’s charioteer in Mahabharata in one season, and almost 70-80 episodes of Krishna’s life are covered in the show. The show telecasts on Star Utsav at 6 pm.
