Sarita Joshi, the proud recipient of the Sangeet Natak Academy Award for acting in Gujarati, is a popular theater and television actress. She is most popular for her role as Godavari Thakkar in the Star Plus show Baa Bahoo Aur Baby.

Born in 1941 in Pune, Maharashtra Sarita Joshi developed an interest in acting at an early age and by the age of seven she was a member of the New Laxmikant Company of Baroda. A famous member of various theatres across Maharashtra, she went on to act in the Indian National Theater. She has acted in over 150 plays in Marathi and Gujarati, several of them phenomenal successes, such as Balwant Ni Baby, which ran up to 500 shows. She made her television debut in 1980’s in the TV show Titliyan directed by Nadira Babbar, followed by Hasratein, Kuch Kook Hota Hai, the most popular being the show Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Her Bollywood roles include Guru, as Abhishek Bachchan’s mother, Dasvidaniya, Gangoobai and Bollywood Beats.

Currently she is acting in the Star Plus show Chand Chupa Badal Mein, where she plays the role of a caring grandmother. Though she appears in many tele serials and films, her major love remains theater. Nothing exceeds the joy of acting in a theater, she says and she still remains an active participant in many theaters.

She is married to director Praveen Joshi, whom she met in the Indian National theater. She has two daughters Ketki Devi and Purbi Joshi, both of whom are renowned actresses in the television industry.

Priya Marathe is one of the popular Indian actresses and stand-up comedian today. She was born and raised up in Thane and attended the AK Joshi School. She graduated at Bandodkar College. Initially, she never thought that she will end up acting. As a child, she dreams of becoming an Engineer, a Pilot or a Doctor. She was also seen on Zee Marathi’s Kalat Nakalat, Ha Khel Sawalyancha and Star Pravah’s Goshta Eka College Chi. In 2007, she made her debut in the Hindi television series as she appeared in the very popular Ekta Kapoor’s drama series, Kasamh Se as Vidya Bali, the daughter of Rashi (played by Swati Anand). Priya gained more fame after she acted as Varsha Satish Deshpande on Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta. Later, the actress essayed the role of Jyoti Malhorta in the Hindi romantic teledrama, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She joins the cast of the drama soap, Uttaran and played the role of Ruby, the girlfriend of Tiger (played by Rohit Khurana). From 2012 to 2014, Priya acted again in a Marathi serial entitled, Tu Tithe Mi and bags the negative lead role as Priya Mohite. 

She also joined the reality-based comedy show, Comedy Circus Ke Superstars opposite Sunil Pal. She made a cameo appearance as Rani Saubhagyawati from Marwar in the historical drama series, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. Priya was also starred in the new crime-based series, Jayostute on Star Pravah. She bagged the challenging role of Pragati, a intelligent and fearless 25-year old lawyer who fights for the rights of the innocent.

She got married to her long-time actor friend, Shantanu Moghe, the son of the popular Marathi actor, Shrikant Moghe last April 24, 2012 which was held in a private ceremony at Pune, India. The actress is also on the lookout to act in the big screen someday.

Savita Prabhune is a well known Hindi and Marathi tv actress. She is known for her roles in Pavitra Rishta, Kkusum, Kkavyanjali and Dehleez to name a few.

Savita Prabhune was a popular name in the Marathi television industry and she wore the crown of the most influential actress for more than 15 years and had a large fan following. Yogesh Mahajan is a Marathi actor and film director whose edgy, intense style has brought him acclaim in such hits as ‘Zale Mokale Aakash’, ‘Saheb’, and ‘Hirva Kunku’. 

Actor Yogesh Mahajan graduated with a master diploma in visual communication, film making and advertising in 2002 from Jamia Millia Islamia. From the moment his star first shined in Hirva Kunku, Mahajan has brought a raw, powerful edge to his roles. His TV series Ekach Maleche Mani received the Doordarshan TV award for the best comedy in 2007.

In an interview conducted by India TV, Mahajan talks about his period of life as enriching and enigmatic. He also remarked about how the national service scheme helped him acquire the leadership qualities and instilled within him a wholesome sense of responsibility. It is with this thought, that he had a notion to revolutionize Marathi cinema.

Sahab Khan is known popularly as Professor Sahib/Shyam Saxena. Manish Goel is an Indian TV actor. He was born in Delhi but his passion to become a star results him to settle in Mumbai.
