Let’s look at the winners of this year. Ace badminton player Kidambi Srikanth won the award for his contribution to the sports category, while lawyer and Afroz Shah received the honor for Public Service category. Acharya Balkrishna bagged the award as the 2017’s ‘Indian of the Year’ in Business. The famous actor Rajkumar Rao was announced the winner in the entertainment category. In addition, Adar Poonawalla was recognised as having Outstanding Achievement in Business. Many other awards felicitated extraordinary talented people, who had transcended the limits of hard work and dedication. The most important highlight of the grand finale was the final award of the night, CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2017, which went to the Captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli.
