Sohini Halder or Sohini Sengupta Haldar is a thespian and film actress. She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal to Swatilekha Sengupta and Rudraprasad Sengupta, both theatre artists. She is associated with Nandikar – a Bengali Theatre Ensemble. In the year 2000, she entered the film industry with the Bengali movie Paromitar Ek Din as a supporting actress. She is a Bengali literature graduate and also completed her M.Ed. She is the Chairperson of the West Bengal Commission for Women since 2019.
