It is sometimes fascinating to read about how film stars, especially in the South, get into the industry from totally diverse fields, and with no conscious intentions to be in movies. Andrea Jeremiah’s career seems to fit into this category. Her childhood ambition was to go for higher studies and get to become a psychiatrist. But music was always in the background, as she started learning classical Western piano when she was just eight, and she quickly showed her prowess when she formed her own troupe called Young Stars which also was a precursor for her later singing and music composing career.

Sanchita Shetty was born in the Bangalore district of Karnataka, India. She has been an active figure in the film industry ever since her appearance on screen in the 2006 movie- ‘Mungaru Male’ which was in Kannada. Her ambition was not limited to a film career in Karnataka alone and for widening her fame and reach, she takes roles in most of the South Indian languages such as Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Initially, she played only supporting roles in her movies, but after her performance in three consecutive films in Kannada as supporting roles, she gets the opportunity to act in Tamil movies, and her biggest break came in the year 2010 when she is presented the opportunity to act opposite the well-acclaimed Tamil actor Jayam Ravi in ‘Thillalangadi’.

Nalan Kumarasamy is a Kollywood film director, writer, and actor. His debut directorial venture was a 2013 Tamil black comedy film, Soodhu Kavvum. This movie starred Sanchita Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. This film got selected for screening and was the only Tamil movie to be screened at the Zurich Film Festival. He was born in Chennai city in the state of Tamil Nadu. He started off with event management and business in real estate. He will come up next with a romantic comedy that will be produced by C V Kumar, which he is still scripting.

Santhosh Narayanan was born on 15 May 1983 in Tamil Nadu. He is a musician and a movie composer by profession in Tamil movie industry. Yog entered the Tamil film industry in Gautham Menon’s action drama film Kaakha Kaakha in 2003.

Gana Bala, a famous singer and lyricist of Kollywood, was born as Bala Murugan, but he adopted the name Gana Bala himself as a stage name. Sometimes, he is also known as Anathai Bala, 'Gana Kuyil King' Bala. He was born to V. S. Mani and M. Punniyam. Bala studied law at Presidency College in Chennai after studying Botany. After being graduated, his chance at fame began when he participated in a reality TV show called Gana Kuyil Pattu. The show was aired on Kalaignar TV, and he won it. Anthony Daasan is an Indian singer, traditional Tamil folk musician, lyricist and an artist hailing from Reddiyarpalayam, Puducherry,Tamil Nadu. He currently lives in Chennai, India. He was born on 26th April 1977. He completed his education from the Government High School of Tanjore. Music is an associated and ever-lasting part of his life.
