The movie comes from the book of the same name written by Francois Lelord. It is about the saga of Hector who is in pursuit of happiness. Fed up with his monotonous life and also to offer happiness to his patients, Hector goes to China, ventures into mountains and visits Africa for his research about happiness. Throughout his journey, he befriends many people and knows about their life experiences. After this, he, along with his old friend meet Professor Coreman, who has been studying the effects of happiness on brain.
They even attend his lectures and are fascinated by his words. With the help of Coreman’s brain scanning technology, he realizes that happiness isn’t a single emotion, but is a combination of many feelings. The film was directed by Peter Chelsom. It received mixed to negative responses from the critics.
