Plot
Krishna owns a grocery store. He falls in love with Sumathi, and goes after her. After gathering enough courage, he expressed his love for her. Sumathi asked him to meet her at the temple on Friday to confirm her love. But he faces severe opposition from the community. Was he able to manage everything and get her hand in marriage?
Star Performance
Amardeep Chowdary emoted well. His chemistry with Sayli is good. Sayli did a decent job. JDV Prasad and Tasty Teja did their roles well. The rest of the supporting stars did their job neatly.
Analysis
The director takes time in setting up the theme. The screenplay should’ve been gripping. The slow-paced screenplay is one of the biggest drawbacks of Sumathi Sathakam. Although the story is okay, the execution is weak. The comedy scenes alongside the romantic scenes are okay. The main conflict is not explained well. The second half has a lot of unwanted scenes that disturb the movie’s flow. The length of the film should’ve been trimmed. The emotional content worked in parts. The visuals are pretty decent, and the editing should’ve been tighter in the second half.
