Plot

Willie is married to Ria. Willie faces a tough situation in his business and he decides to move to Vishakhapatnam. They settled well in the city and started living peacefully. Willie wanted to celebrate Ria’s birthday and invited some of their relatives and friends. Shockingly after the party, three people are murdered and one among them is Ria. Already the city had been facing some robberies and murders in the outskirts. Who murdered Ria and her relatives? Was that one among them who came to the party or the robbers? The rest of the film explains this.

Star Performance

The leads Arvind and Srijitaa, did what the director asked them to do.

Analysis

Even though a story is good, the screenplay makes it sensible and interesting. That is the main thing missing in this film. Although there are a lot of suspense elements, they are spoiled by the logical loopholes. Certain emotional scenes should have been shot well. The story moves around the murders that happened on the party day. Those scenes seem to be stretchy and they didn’t move from that and deal with the rest. The cinematography and the BGM add more support to the film than the screenplay and performances. The scenes between the leads should have dealt with more effective scenes.

What’s There?

  • The film is technically strong
  • A few thrilling scenes are neat

What’s Not There?

  • Certain scenes are stretchy
  • Logical loopholes affect the story
  • The screenplay should have been better

Verdict

Shukra is a thriller film that lacks a gripping screenplay and logic. It could be watched once for some thrilling sequences.
