Plot:

The story deals with the life of four friends, who live in a small town in Telangana. They plan to organize a cricket match in their area. While everything was going as per their plan, one of the friends falls in love with a girl. This creates some misunderstanding between the friends and finally it shatters the cricket tournament, which was their dream. What made them cancel the match? Did the friends reunite? Did the lovers tie the knots? The answer to all these questions forms the rest of the story.

Star Performances:

Vishwadev Rachakonda and Punarnavi Bhupalam, who play the lead roles, have done their part well. Punarnavi looks cute and emotes well in her debut. Her chemistry with Vishwadev is beautiful.

Analysis:

Anudeep KV makes his debut with Pittagoda and has also employed new faces to his story. He has chosen a right script for his debut. The romantic theme with the sports background is not new to the Indian film industry. Even a film in Tamil, “Chennai 28” with inexperienced boys made a super hit with gully cricket as the theme. In Pittagoda, the director has handled the screenplay pretty well. If the climax is shot with a bit concentration, then it could have come out better.

What’s there?

Excellent chemistry between the leads

Neat music composition in the songs and the background score

Impressive screenplay and good direction

What’s not there?

Poor climax is the big drawback

Verdict:

The first half of the film travels at high speed with the engaging elements. However, the director who showed a new perception of friendship in the first half failed to show it in the second half. In total, the first half impresses the people than the second half. If you have no other movies for this weekend, then you can choose this youth entertainer.
