Plot

The film focuses on the lives of two sets of people, Sailaja and her team members Vikram, and Satish, who successfully plans and executes the death of Tamil Nadu minister Krishna, part of child trafficking. At the same time, in a village called Vadamalapeta, three young boys, Raghupathi, Raghava, and Rajaram, collectively referred to themselves as RRR, find a wanted poster of Dawood Ibrahim with a bounty of fifty lakhs. To become rich quickly, RRR sets out to Mumbai to capture Dawood. The film portrays how the lives of these two different sets of people intertwine and affect one another.

Stat Performance

It is always exciting to see young raw talents fill the screen and take the spotlight away from the seniors. That is what happens in this movie. Harsh Roshan, Bhannu Prakasan, and Jayateertha Molugu showcase their talents with innocence. The three of them carry the whole film on their shoulders, with the timely comedies and their simplistic acting. Taapsee and Ravindra Vijay do an okay job with their roles, proving the support and depth the story requires.

Analysis

The film follows the same track as Swaroop's previous movies, a slow-paced comedy thriller. Comedy becomes the soul and driving force of the movie. Even the more serious scenes are coupled with comic elements to prove the same. The movie run on the shoulders of RRR for the most part. With their light-hearted character portrayal and innocent acting building the storyline. With a storyline like this, there were innumerable options for Swaroop to take up, but for the most part, ends up the same. All that could have been done wasn't and all that was already there stayed the same. There isn't much of an antagonist and the space provided for the same is minute, foreshadowing the character in the background. Even Taapsee's character seems too unrealistic to be justifiable for the cause mentioned. Taapsee's character is initially portrayed as a good one but sometimes gives the same vibe as the negative shades. The background score is good and keeps a sense of anxiety to some extent. But the screenplay fails to uphold the same.

What's There?

  • Light-hearted storytelling
  • The innocent portrayal of the main characters
  • Comedy sequence that works out

What's Not There?

  • An adequate screenplay to keep the audience hooked
  • Character development or screen space
  • Practicality in some of the scenes

Verdict

Same as the title suggests, bringing logic to such a film would seem impossible. Released under the banner of a comedy thriller, it does somewhat justice to the comedy element. With a stronger script, the thriller element could also have been done beautifully. Overall the movie is for a light-hearted watch without going over the logic or practicality. Enjoy the fun, emotions, and adventures of three innocent boys who set out to conquer their dreams. Their innocence and immaturity are what the movie hopes to portray.
