Plot
Rishi wakes up from a two-day coma and doesn’t remember anything. The doctor introduces him to Adithi, his girlfriend, but Rishi doesn’t seem to remember her. To remember himself, they set out on a journey to visit his father, but their car breaks down, and they get stranded in the middle of nowhere. A stranger offers them help by inviting them to his isolated place. But they both feel uncomfortable due to the freakish behavior of the stranger and his son. Soon they try to escape from the freaky place, but Rishi’s pass connects with the stranger, and much shocking information got revealed, and nothing is as it seems in the end.
Star Performance
Rakesh Galebhe is convincing in his acting as he portrays the lead role of Rishi. Poojitha Kuraparthi does an amateur job of playing the character of Adithi. The movie relies on Bhargava Poludasu’s performance as he brilliantly portrays a respective role.
Analysis
The movie sets in a snowy U.S. location with a curious plot of a couple trying to escape from weird people, and the poignant atmosphere entangled more as the time passes. The cinematography captures the essence and a dark vibe from the beginning to the end. The movie is visually pleasing and musically rich, elevating the experience for the viewers. Even though the actors do not showcase a spot-on performance, it still manages to make the audience immerse in this world. The latter half picks up the pace to bring out more thrilling and emotional aspects as the first half is just a built-up. The plot twists are mind-blowing, and the characters nauseate, which makes the audience uncomfortable to watch yet baffled at the revelations made. It is more interesting to watch the progression of the plots rather than the actual conclusion. Some plot holes and unrealistic scenes might make the audience lose interest, but it maintains a deceptive storyline overall.

Gatham is a decent pick that showcases a psychological thriller with an indie vibe that provides engaging yet not sufficiently delivered. It is a great attempt and an overall good enough entertaining movie.
