An actor and director, Sunish Kumar, has predominantly worked in the Malayalam movie industry. 

He entered the film making industry as an Assistant Director of Rajiv Menon. As his former assistant, he associated with many of his popular films. 

Sunish began his career by shooting short films, such as Thamas (2007). Then, he gave his directorial debut through a Malayalam movie, Waka Waka Africa, shot in Africa. 

Since then, he has directed a thriller film, 6 Hours (2020). His acting debut was with an action drama, Tiyaan (2017).

His short Malayalam film, Sars (2020), received praise from the audience.
