Karthika Nair is the daughter of yesteryear heroine Radha, who made her career debut in Tamil film industry through K V Anand's Ko, which created a record in box-office. Subsequently, she was seen in Bharathi Raja's Annakodi in a total de-glam avatar. Her forthcoming films will be Vaa Deal with Arun Vijay and Porampokku Engira Podhu Udamai with Vijay Sethupathi, 'Arya' and 'Shaam'. 

She made her screen debut in 2009 alongside Naga Chaitanya in Josh. She rose to fame with Ko in 2011 and won Jaya TV Award for the sensational debut heroine. After she made her debut at the age of 17, she received a Malayalam film, Makaramanju, which was directed by Lenin Rajendran. In this movie, she acted with the cinematographer and director Santosh Sivan, and won critics award. She also has taken a degree in Business from a college affiliated to London School of Economics. 

After she completed her 10th standard, she got her first film offer Josh in Telugu, without having undergone any training in acting.
