Analysis
Well, we do not know where to even begin with. 'Sirf Money' is something that sounds interesting as a concept. A village belle lost in a big city. She is desperate to succeed. Circumstances force her to use the methods she once hated to climb to the top. Not bad, right? If only the director was not as short-sighted as Jeetendra Keer.
It is not disturbing if the plot is predictable. There have been many blockbusters, where the basic plot can be guessed by even a toddler. The problem arises when the plotline becomes so generic that even looking at a wall endlessly seems more entertaining.
This is exactly the problem with this film. There is no nuance, no semblance of a proper story, which makes this 2-hour 22-minute film seem like a never-ending lecture about the darkness in the outside world. The director seems to have lost the momentum midway, and many sequences looked like they were just there for the heck of it.
Of course, not every movie can be an exquisite specimen of art. Like every other profession, most films are quick cash grabs, made purely for commercial purposes. But at least make it look like one. 'Sirf Money' fails to achieve even that. At one point, the film tests the patience of the viewers.
Apurva Anand in the lead role is far from impressive. So is most of the supporting cast. Some of them were clueless, while others were simply uninterested. Sudesh Berry did make some efforts. But what difference would a pebble in the ocean make?

Verdict
'Sirf Money' is a movie that was nice as a concept to begin with. The execution, however, tells a different tale altogether. You can watch this only if you are a pro at patience.
