Analysis
It is the second outing of Manish Paul, after Micky Virus in 2013. The story can make it big (it reminds Darr many times), but Ranbanka is not presented well. What can a common man do to fight against the evils of the current system? This is the crux of the film. Director Aryeman could have worked on the subject in a better fashion.
Star Performances
1. Manish Paul, though trying to do his best, struggles to balance between a responsible family man and the anguished person. Ravi Kishan as the obsessed rowdy does an average job though exaggerating sometimes. Pooja Thakur is quite ok.
2. The rowdyism is quite exaggerated.
What's there?
1. The climax is the best part of the film.
2. Few good scenes are there in the flick including those between the lead pair.
What's not there?
1. The background score is not appealing.
2. The flick is in predictable lines.
3. The obsession of the villain doesn't strike the right chord.
4. Certain scenes could have been avoided.
5. There are some scenes without any logic.
6. One only tends to laugh at some of the fighting scenes, instead of getting emotionally connected.
7. There are certain deafening scenes in the flick.
Verdict
The film could have worked well in the 90s. But come on..the tastes of the audiences have changed, and they want films of different genres.
