Plot
Sonu is a seven-year-old boy who lives with his parents and grandparents. After coming from school, he speaks about his class girls not in a good manner but about teaching them a lesson. His grandfather says that he speaks like this as he is a boy, and it is quite normal. But, Sonu’s mother doesn’t want her son to grow like a male chauvinist. She started narrating him some age-old stories, but in a way that registers in her son’s mind positively.
Star Performance
Vidya Balan is stunning as usual. Her body language, slang, and expressions are good. Sanika Patel, the debut kid, has done a great job. His chemistry with Vidya is good. Even after hours, the audience feels as if they are the real mother and son duo.
Analysis
The story is beautifully designed, and the screenplay and dialogues are neat. Simple bedtime stories come with deep and meaningful content, and that impresses the audience. Vidya looks simple in the Saree, yet impressive. After hearing a particular dialogue by the kid, her expression changed suddenly, and that’s one of her classy looks. The BGM and cinematography are excellent.
