Plot
Movie starts and we will see some people who were fully dressed and fighting. To know the whole matter, we will have to go to the past. The day before yesterday, Benny went hunting with his two brothers and stayed in the forest for the night, when they saw that many meteors were falling on earth. The following day when Benny woke up, he saw that one of his brothers had been killed by his other brother who has now become a man-eater zombie. He also tries to kill Benny but he somehow survived the situation and ran away. Next, we see a mechanic named Barry, sleeping well with his wife and daughter. But in the other town, while his sister Brooke is having a photoshoot with her friends, one of her friends turns into a zombie and kills another friend. Brooke somehow manages to kill all the zombies inside the house but encounters more zombies outside the home. She immediately calls her brother Barry and aware him of the situation that is going on all around the town. Meganne comes and complains that someone is there in the kitchen. When Barry goes to check he comes to know that there was a zombie in their house, who is eating meat from there fridge. Why is there a sudden zombie attack? Will Barry and his family be able to survive? The rest of the movie revolves around it.
Star Performance
Brooke as a needy zombie attack survivor and Barry as a violent zombie killer justified their roles in respective characters. The characters are well chosen and fun to watch. The production could have been better whereas, the direction and sets were average. With its clever cinematography, expert CGI, strong acting and an abundance amount of violence, it has unique quality that is difficult to replicate on such low budget.
Analysis
Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead is an excellent commercial zombie movie with fulfilling fight scenes and a satisfying action ending stuffed into it. But somewhere the movie seems a little low budget with no special effects. Also, rather than being constantly afraid and battling for their lives, the characters seem to be thinking of just an ordinary day. Rather than wanting to avoid dying, their goals are to find love. This tone shift creates an incredible humorous mindful narrative that pokes fun at tropes associated with zombies. The trio actors Harrelson, Eisenberg, and Stone give sardonic yet genuine and relatable performances that perfectly capture the tone. Practically seeing, the plot is pretty light and keeps switching between two-three storylines.

Verdict
The movie’s plot was clever and well-executed. If you prefer zombie movies with great characters and lashings of gory silliness, this one's for you.
