Saving the world sometimes skips out of a man’s schedule, and that’s when penguins take over. Join the penguins as they help save the world from Dr. Octavius’s evil plans in the Penguins of Madagascar.
Plot
Considered as the next part of Madagascar 3, the Penguins of Madagascar revolves around the three penguins Skipper, Rico and Kowalski and Private, the baby penguin that they hatch. The Penguins discover that Dr. Octavius is an octopus named Dave disguised as a human. Dave has various plans for taking over the world and especially penguins.
He feels that the cuteness of the penguins got him thrown out of various zoos, and he has revenge plan worked up on his sleeve! The Penguins travel around and meet a spy team who come to rescue them. The penguins along with the spy animals team and try to defeat Dave and save the world.
Analysis
When a movie is made for kids, adults have to keep in mind too. Most directors miss out on the adult part, and that’s what happened with the Penguins of Madagascar.
The high-end animation has an effective attraction for children but the heavy action and useless commotion the grip is lost on the adults. Entertainment for very young kids and just plain fun for anyone who don’t have the wits to care for logic.
What’s there?
1. A combination of smart and dumb in just the right amounts to please a kid
2. A level of cute factor to deliver good animal animation
What’s not there?
1. The feverish action that could be tiresome for anyone who are past dreaming of being the karate kid.
2. A witty story-line to cancel out the effects of the unwanted action.
Verdict
The movie is more or less a headache to anyone older than 5 and an adrenaline booster for the ankle-biting rugrats.
