Oliver Stone, also known as William Oliver Stone, is an American producer, screenwriter, and a director. He came to the film industry as a writer, writing and directing movies about Vietnam War. Oliver was born on September 15, 1946, in the New York City, The United States of America. His film targets the controversial and political American issues of the late 20th century. Stone has received many awards which include three Academy Awards for his movies. His father, Louis Stone was a stockbroker and fought with the Allied troops in France during the World War II.
