My Fault: London is a romantic drama scripted by Melissa Osborne and directed by Dani Girdwood and Charlotte Fassler. It is the remake of the Spanish movie My Fault by Domingo González. It was the adaptation of the book Culpa Mía by Mercedes Ron. Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg produced the film. Jakwob composed the music. Asha Banks, Matthew Broome, Ray Fearon, Eve Macklin, Enva Lewis, Kerim Hassan, Sam Buchanan, Amelia Kenworthy, Jason Flemyng, Harry Gilby, George Robinson, Tallulah Evans, Fiona Marr, Victoria Wyant, and Payal Mistry are cast.

Plot

Ella has a daughter, Noah. They reside in Florida. Ella divorced her husband. After Ella marries William, the mother-daughter duo moves to London. Noah meets Nick, her stepbrother. They started sharing a good bond, though they had some relationship complications. Soon, Noah’s father was released from prison and started tracking them. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Asha has delivered a decent performance, expressing a variety of emotions. Matthew Broome, Ray Fearon, and Eve Macklin have done what was required of them.

Analysis

The story starts on a simple note with the mother and daughter travelling to the UK from the US. Initially, it appeared to be a normal story, but after the release of Ella’s first husband and his stalking, the story travels to a different path. Yet, the pace is uneven, making us lose the movie-watching interest. The characters are not designed well. If there had been some depth in the main characters, the movie might have become interesting. It may attract people who enjoy watching complex relationships and some romance. The visuals and the BGM are decent. The editing could’ve been crisper.

What’s There?

  • A few performances are decent

What’s Not There?

  • The film has an uneven pace
  • The characters lack depth

Verdict

If you love watching emotional romantic dramas, you may like this!
