Plot
In Maya the Bee 3: The Golden Orb, Maya, accompanied by her friend Willy, goes to the forest and finds a golden orb. They then shortly discover that the orb is a royal ant egg, which is about to hatch into the next queen of an ant colony somewhere far away. For this, Maya given the responsibility for delivering the orb, and Willy has to go through several daunting adventures. During their way, they meet Boof an evil dung beetle desiring the orb to themselves. However, Maya's perseverance and positive attitude don't let them give up, and Willy starts fighting for his friend for the very first time in the movie. Throughout the film, Maya and Willy encounter many challenges that teach them valuable lessons about courage, friendship, and teamwork. Finally, they can hand over the golden orb so that the new queen can spread peace within her territory. At movie’s end, Maya and Willy go home with the sense of having helped.
Star Performance
Kids of all ages find this movie enjoyable; the characters, and the animations are par excellence. The toons, each of which is full of character, are fantastic and the drawings are sheer brilliance since they are computer-generated. To this extent, the film is replete with mythic elements. It contains characters, among which are bees, ants, and intelligent beetles to name but a few of them. It conveys emotions, actions, and the visuals of the colorful and complicated world in which the characters live, enriching the beauty of the movie, which has an added artistic flavor. The music score also has that feel that seems to be associated with fairy tales through a blend of traditional and modern music, which can be used to enhance an emotion or mood in the story. The most conspicuous aspect of this animated feature is that of the cast of voice actors since they bring to breath into characters through voice overs. They seem in the voices of characters even if they are not on the screen, although the characters appear realistic enough.

The voice talents of Benson Jack Anthony and Frances Berry are the voice behind Maya and Willy respectively and they both animate these characters with passion. This movie has an appropriate use of music which makes the character to dance and thus depict their feelings hence making the journey more enjoyable for the audience. The story remains a perfect example of bright animation with a focus on such values are bravery, unity and responsibility for the others. The character’s details and the voiceovers also enhance the film’s ability to appeal to the young and the elderly.
