Angus MacLane is an American animator, director, screenwriter, and voice artist who has infused lives in cartoons for more than two decades. He was born in 1975 in Portland, Oregon. As a child, Angus wanted to be a comic book artist but his interests gradually leaned more towards animation by the time he completed his schooling. Dreaming of working at Laika, LLC animation studio (formerly Will Vinton Studios) one day, he enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design in 1997, from where he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts.
