Plot
The film’s protagonist is Ashley, played by Sydney Sweeny, a teenager with a troubled family. Her mother mysteriously disappeared when she was a child, and after her abusive father’s death, her older sister went to college, so, Ashley started living with her aunt Tanya, played by Jessica Barth in her hometown. After moving into her childhood home, Ashley experiences strange occurrences in the house. One night, after a strange presence enters her bed, Ashley changes and starts acting and dressing differently. The town’s pastor notices the presence of this dark force, and before it harms the townspeople any more, tries to get rid of it. The film follows Ashley as she struggles to get out of the grasp of the devil, Satan.
Star Performance
The cast performs well. Sydney Sweeney gives a good performance as a troubled teenager, and is spectacular in the possession scenes.
Analysis
The film is motley of various classic horror movie tropes. The film does not have any unique qualities that would make it different from the same-old horror movies.
