Sinhala Music Producer Priyantha Kolambage

Priyantha Kolambage was born in 1966 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is a Sri Lankan movie director and story writer who labors mainly in the Sinhala film industry. Priyantha Kolambage is also known for his directorial debut, Dehena (Trance) 1998. His film Dehena (Trance) won the maximum number of awards for Sri Lanka and represented the country at the Tokyo International Film Festival Award. Priyantha Kolambage's second movie, Vimukthi (Salvation), was the united option of local movie observers to present Sri Lanka at the Kerala, Milwelly, and Cairo International Film Festivals Awards.

Priyantha Kolambage is an international award winning movie director. Before, his intense fixation with movies began as a reporter and cameraman for the respected Sinhalese newspaper Ravaya. An eager eye for story writing led to his directorial debut, Dehena (Trance), with which he laid down a new record in the Sri Lankan film industry to become the young movie director in the country at the mere age of nineteen. Arumosam Vehi (Fancy Rains), the third production to date, was funded by the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka and went on to win the award for distinction at the 2007 China International Children's Film Festival Award.

In view of the victory celebrated at the local leading and the business in the making in TV and video making, Priyantha Kolambage cast Creative Force, his own making house, which rapidly obtained the promotion of best advertising companies for the launching of TV serials, biographies, and advertising companies videos. To date, Priyantha Kolambage has executed a diversity of businesses, most of them for reputed companies such as Unilever, Nestle, Elephant House, Holcim Lanka, Ceylinco VIP, Lion Breweries, Raigam, Sunlight, Ewis, and many more.

Charming biographies have also been shot for the Sri Lanka Air Force 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) celebration, Eppawela Phosphate, Holcim Geocycle, and Holcim Safety, to name a few. Not one to rest on his accolade, Priyantha Kolambage has also been managing to make many TV serials. Kekulu Yaya is a sixty five episode instructional plan for kids. Yarns Bar – a comic serial in addition to Deyyange Horawa, Aluth Sithuwam, Surf X Force, and the very famous political scorn idiot serial Jabos Lane, as well as many comedy serials. Also, Priyantha Kolambage produced, wrote, and directed the Sakuge Kathawa serial, which was telecasted on Swarnavahini. Priyantha Kolambage is known for Arumosam Wahi (2002), Dedunu Akase (2017) and Adaraneeya Kathawak (2016).

He has managed a variety of enterprises to date, most of which were for well-known corporations including Raigam, Sunlight, Ewis, Unilever, Nestle, Elephant House, Holcim Lanka, and Ceylinco VIP. Priyantha has also produced several TV shows. Kekulu Yaya is a 65-episode kids’ educational television series. Yarns Bar is a comedy show that features a variety of teledramas such as Deyyange Horawa, Aluth Sithukadu, Surf X-Force, and the hugely famous political satire puppet play Jabos Lane. Additionally, he was the director, writer, and producer of the Sakuge Kathawa teledrama shown on Swarnavahini.
