Umayangana Wickramasinghe is a TV host cum actress in the Sri Lankan entertainment industry. She was born on 24th October 1980 in Borella in Sri Lanka. Sunil Wickramasinghe and Anula Kanthi Kumari are her parents. She has a brother, Mahesh Wickramasinghe. Umayangana completed her schooling from Ragama Basilica Maha Vidyalaya and St. Paul's Girls School, Milagiriya.

Umayangana started her career on Derana TV as a news presenter. Later, she moved to Sri Satellite TV. She also hosted Ranaviru Real Star on Rupavahini. In 2002, she started her acting career in the stage drama Neinage Suduwa. She also played in Othello and Hamlet of Shakespeare as Desdemona and Gertrude, respectively.
