Tharindi Fernando

Tharindi Liyanage Anuradhika Fernando, better known by her stage name Tharindi Fernando, is a well-known actress and model from Sri Lanka. She is a gifted and adaptable actress who mainly performs in Sinhala films and television dramas. She was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on October 28, 1987. Tharindi is the younger child of mother Asnuta, a homemaker, and father Andrew Fernando, a former mason who worked in the construction industry. For her primary and secondary education, she has enrolled in Pallansena Prathamika Vidhyalaya and the girl’s college Dankotuwa Balika Maha Vidhyalaya. Since her school, actress Tharindi has been interested in acting, dance, and sports.

She did, however, wish to continue working in the commerce field. She had mainly chosen to follow her elder sister Nalindi’s path since she looked up to and got inspired by her. Tharindi followed her advice and finished her General Certificate of Education before majoring in commerce. Tharindi began working for a reputable private bank after earning her degree. A tragedy occurred in Tharindi’s life since life is unpredictable and uncertain. Tharindi could not continue working in banking after her mother, a cancer patient, tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2016. After quitting her banking job, she requested some privacy. She chose to learn Bollywood dancing from Gyan Srimal, a renowned instructor, to make use of her free time wisely.
