Senali's family went to England and she completed her higher education at the University of Cambridge in Biomedical Science. She lost her father due to Covid-19 in England. Senali started her career in acting in 2013. Her career began through Siri Parakum as the role of Sirimal Ethana was directed by Somaratne Dissanayake.
