He has given both supporting and leading roles. He was one of the cast and crew of the famous Sinhala teledrama Dewliye. Amintha Weerasinghe is included in the list of leading characters for the teledrama. He also acted in another famous Sinhala teledrama, Helankada. The teledrama is produced by Ashan Kannangara and directed by Dhammika Thisera. Amintha Weerasinghe is also one of the leading parts of another famous teledrama of Sri Lanka, Ravana Season 2 teledrama. The teledrama is telecasted on the TV Derana channel.
