Amila Karunanayake is a renowned Sri Lankan film actor, teledrama actor, fashion designer, and former model. Amila was born on 26 July 1982 in Nagoda, Kalutara. Before going into acting, Amila Karunanayake graduated with a diploma in fashion design. Amila was sent to Kalutara Vidyalaya for his primary education. As an athlete, he won the all-island under-13 long jump with a record. That opened the door for me to receive a scholarship to study at Nalanda College in Colombo. He is the creator of "ADETAIL," one of the top local menswear brands. Amila worked in a lead role in various short films before he entered the Bollywood industry.

Some short films are Rupantharana, Porisadaya, Face 2 Face, Rom-Com, Sikuru Yogaya, and Kabaddi. He started his career with his first film Rupantharana in 2014. He was nominated for best villain at the TV Derana film awards 2019 for his role in "Porisadaya." In the award-winning horror film "Kaushi," directed by Maldivian Seaxan Ali, Amila Karunanayake played an obsessed lover. 2021 was an essential year for Amila, as he received great reviews and criticism for his performance as Manuranga in the Sinhala film "Kabaddi." During his time, Amila participated in nearly all the top fashion shows, such as Colombo fashion week, AOD, Moratuwa University, Hameedias, Raffles, Lift, and 'The New Yorker Fashion Show in Aid of 'Ma Sewana.' Later he also contributed as a judge in modeling pageants. One of the most popular programs he hosted was "Band the Band," a reality show about an interschool music band competition that aired in 2019 on ITN. Furthermore, he hosted the "Sirasa Mirror" TV chat program in 2015.
